What you can expect from me as we work together
For me, wedding photography is so much more than obsessing over the details too much or getting the perfect shots. And for you its so much more than the photos you will hang on your wall or upload as your new profile picture.
CONNECTION IS KEY
The connection between you and your loved one is at the center of everything, but its also important that we make a good fit too. My goal is to make you look & feel your best, and when the nerves kick in I know I can lighten the mood with a poorly executed dad joke. I am for you and with you throughout the entire experience. I want you to look back on your images and remember the feelings and sensations of that moment, not the nerves or the awkwardness that you were feeling. When we have that strong connection, the more we can trust each other, and the better the photos & the entire experience will be!
STORY
DRIVES EVERYTHING
Story drives everything I do. We are drawn to stories of the triumphant protagonist, the small town lovers (thanks hallmark), the over comers, and the underdogs. Its stories that thread together our lives and those around us, and for me its important to tell those stories in the most real and authentic way possible. I approach all my shoots with passion and quality capturing the moments in a photojournalistic way,. I focus on the bigger picture of the day while also sprinkling in the smaller details that brings everything together. Its not about the perfect shot, or rushing to capturing the amazing sunset. Its about the emotional impact that looking at your photos will have, not the visual impact. It's about remembering your life, your people, and your love. Not my art. At the end of the day some of the most meaningful photos are not impressive or perfect, and the most impressive photos are not always meaningful.
LEAVING A LEGACY
Decades from now, I want you to be able to look at your photos and not only be brought back to that day through the emotions and feelings of the photo but also the ability for it to stand against time. Keeping my edits as true and natural to the colors and tones of each moment encapsulates that memory in time while also allowing it to be relevant through generations to come. There are some more trendy editing styles that make things look very orange and warm, or others that are more green and desaturated. There is nothing wrong with either of those styles, but I have crafted my editing style and approach to stay as true to the moment as possible. By creating timeless images for you to share with your kids and grandkids, the legacy of your wedding or engagement is carried through beyond the present moment.

01 Let's get to know each other
We can hop on a phone call, chat over facetime, or meet in person and grab a cup of coffee! It is important for me to get to know you, talk your special day, answer any questions, as well as hear about my approach and style and get all your questions answered. Its really just a time to hang out together!
02 Let's book your session
Feel like it’s a great fit? Me too! I will send over a contract and invoice that goes over all the details with pricing of your specific session. In order to reserve your date, I require a non-refundable deposit of 30%, with the remaining amount due one week before your schedule session date. Just sign the contract & send the deposit and we are on our way to something wonderful!
03 Let's dream about what your day looks like
Now that we got the boring stuff out of the way, the fun stuff begins! Let’s plan your engagement session and dream about your big day. We can scout locations, put together inspiration boards on pinterest, and nail out all the details to make the perfect day! I am here as your friend and guide to offer suggestions or make your vision come to life!

FAQ
Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
All my travel expenses are included for weddings and sessions that are within a 3 hour radius from Portland, Oregon. Any location that requires travel beyond that 3 hour radius will require travel expenses. All of those expenses will be included in your invoice so that you wont have to worry about extra costs that come up later on.
What if we need to reschedule or cancel our session?
I am always flexible with rescheduling if need be. I know how things can change last minute or happen unexpectedly, so keep me posted and we will make it happen later! If you end up needing to cancel our session, I might shed a few tears but I totally understand. At the time of booking I require a non refundable deposit, so you wont get that portion back, but any additional amount that you’ve paid I will send back to you.
What if the weather calls for rain during our session?
Regardless of the weather, I am still here for it! Some rainy days can be so much fun to shoot in and provide some incredible photos. If the weather is something that you’re really concerned about we can try to reschedule for a different day. We will stay in communication with each other about all that!
Do you have payment plans?
Yes, I do! I am super open to working with you on this. I will help you in creating the perfect option that you feel comfortable with. With any payment plan however, I will not deliver any sneak peeks or deliver your online gallery until the final agreed payment has been made.
How long does it take to recieve the photos after the elopement and how will those be delivered?
Within 48 - 72 hours, you will receive a sneak peek of a few photos from your gallery (I know how excited you will be to share them on Instagram!). For engagements, couples sessions, or portraits, I will deliver your full online gallery within 2 - 3 weeks. Weddings are usually delivered in 6 - 8 weeks. All shoots will have a personal online gallery for you to add favorites, download, and share as many times as you want!
Do you travel for weddings and engagements?
You bet I do! I LOVE to travel, especially if it means I get to shoot an engagement session in Joshua Tree, or a wedding in Maui! If I am traveling to you for your wedding or session, then I will factor in all the travel expenses (flights, accommodations, rental car, etc.) into your total cost, that way you don't have to worry about any additional costs that come up later on.
What happens if aren't able to be at our wedding or session?
It would kill me to not be there for your wedding or engagement session, but things can happen. I would first communicate with you and let you know whats going on. If we had an engagement session, I would talk to you about alternate dates to move it to. With your wedding however, that is not something we can move! I will have backup photographers that I can assist you in hiring, or send an associate photographer who will photograph the day, that way I can still edit your photos. I will pay you back anything you have paid me already, or pay it straight to your new photographer.
